WISS Board (2012-2013)
Kiranteja (Kiran) Chadalawada is a full-time MPA student specializing in International Development in the Public and Nonprofit Policy and Management Program. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering in India, he moved to the United States to study towards a Master's degree in Information Systems. After completing his MS, Kiran worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, building complex data management and analytics systems for energy companies. This past year, he worked as a research intern at 'The Governance Lab,' a technology policy research organization housed at Wagner. He interned at the United Nations this summer. He is very interested in researching the role of technology in public administration and policy making. He believes that technology, when used efficiently and effectively, has the power to solve even the toughest public problems. He hopes to move back to India in a few years to work in the government in e-governance development.He sees, a lot of potential for WISS and envisions it becoming the poster child for Wagner's commitment to diversity and international development.
Xuan Zhang is a second year full-time MPA student specialized in Management. She completed her undergraduate degree in computer science in University of Toronto. Xuan never stops trying new things. After graduation, she studied photography, worked in a non-profit organization, and afterwards moved to LA to work for a korean grocery company. While working in the product management department, she decreased the waste caused by expired items to 20%. Now, she is interested in charity and environmental protection, which brought her to pursue a master degree in public management.
